Bio

Michael McDevitt

 Born in California and raised in Virginia, Michael McDevitt has lived throughout the USA and in Argentina.  He has worked as an environmental educator aboard numerous historic tallships, as field research technician for the University of Washington, and as the gallery manager for Print Arts Northwest. He holds a BS in Biology from the College of William & Mary and a BFA in Painting & Printmaking from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He has also studied at Gage Academy of Art, Anderson Ranch, and the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires.  He is currently studying Painting & Drawing in the MFA program at the Ohio State University, where he also teaches drawing.
